The name is Raymond Rinehart. Well its simple really. I have always been a gamer, starting with my first NES and favorite game being blaster master. Up to playing COD and MGS4. My favorite game of all time is FFVIII, so much so that when my wife and I have our big wedding its going to be themed after that game. If you thinks thats lame, I don't really care because I am not marrying any of you. I joined the military at 17 to get away from my family(dont like drama. they love it). My love of the U S of A thought it would be a good idea to serve my time. Well that went fine up until my 3 year mark. Then i realized what i really want to do with my life. I decided i wanted to be a video game designer. Sadly my contract is for 6 years(a year and 7 months left). So it pretty much acts as a 6 year speed bump. Right now I fix helicopters, its alright but not my passion. Life is good and thats all I have to say about myself. If you have anymore questions just ask. Welcome, sir! Hey don't waste time thinking about things as 'speed bumps.' I'm just now getting my 'real life' started, back in school, and that delay was the choice I made - Boy, I lived it up!! I have no regrets. And the times I couldn't control what I wanted to be doing made me what I am today. It's not a sprint to the finish line, buddy. Take it from an old fart like me.

I see you are in China. I plan on teaching in Japan when I'm done. Have you traveled there at all?

Perhaps I will eat sushi with you over there! I graduate in a few years and have the feeling that an "American-Fingerstyle Guitar" player who also knows Japanese will make a killing! University of Tokyo, baby! Talk about scarcity (economics) I will be the only one in the whole country with my skill set out of how many million!! And I know that to be true because no one my teacher has taught is over there - and he is the be-all and end-all of this style of guitar. Life is strange and fun, no?!

So Vel, let me ask you, how long have you been playing guitar? When did you seriously start to study the instrument, and what types of institutions have you studied at, including private instruction? I ask because I'm interested in trying to pursue percussion as a full time study and I'm trying to figure out a course of action, if I decide to do that.
